The Garmin Approach R50 requires only AC power (or its internal battery) and, for a projected simulator experience, an HDMI connection to a projector or external monitor. It is designed for both permanent and portable indoor simulator installations. Garmin's included club-face stickers are recommended for complete club data tracking.
Optoma ZK431ST-B — 4K UHD Ultra Short Throw Laser
This SimKit ships with the Optoma ZK431ST-B, a true 4K UHD laser short-throw projector purpose-built for golf simulators. 4,100 ANSI lumens and a tight 0.496:1 ultra-short throw — the tightest in Optoma's sim lineup — fill the enclosure with a bright, razor-sharp image from close to the screen, and the DuraCore laser light source is rated up to 30,000 hours with no lamp to replace.

Birdie 10 Enclosure
The Birdie 10 fits rooms where width is limited — a single-car garage, a basement lane, or a tighter dedicated sim room. At 120″ wide, it still delivers a full sim experience with a 4:3 screen and includes the 6×12 landing mat. Tool-free aluminum frame ships flat.
Albatross 13 Enclosure
The Albatross 13 is the widest enclosure in the lineup — 156″ wide with a 16:9 aspect ratio screen and the deeper 6×15 landing mat. Built for rooms with the horizontal space to support a cinema-scale sim display. Tool-free aluminum frame, 72″ depth.
PRO Series 10x8 Enclosure
The PRO Series 10x8 steps up to a heavier-duty build — High Contrast Gray triple-layer screen, RipStop surround, bungee bottom, foam-lined heavyweight flaps, blackout sheet, and a built-in 1ft wall stand-off for a clean direct-to-wall install. A tighter footprint than the 12x9 for rooms that need the smaller frame with the same premium materials.
PRO Series 12x9 Enclosure
The PRO Series 12x9 is the largest and most heavy-duty enclosure in the lineup — High Contrast Gray triple-layer screen, RipStop surround, bungee bottom, foam-lined heavyweight flaps, blackout sheet, and a built-in 1ft wall stand-off for a clean direct-to-wall install. Built for buyers who want Pro Series materials at full 12-foot width.
Beaver Tail 4×8.25
This SimKit ships with the Beaver Tail 4×8.25 double-wide hitting mat. Because the Garmin R50 sits on the floor beside the ball facing downrange — rather than overhead or in front of the mat — mat length matters more than with overhead-mounted monitors. The longer double-wide format gives the R50 room to sit beside the hitting strip on either side without crowding the golfer's stance, while the two-piece design still gives right- and left-handed golfers a proper stance area.

What Completes the Build
The SimKit ships with the launch monitor, projector, enclosure, and mat. These three items round out the installation.
Projector Install Kit
BenQ CM00G3 projector ceiling mount, 25ft HDMI cable, and 25ft power cable. Positions the short-throw projector at the correct throw distance from the screen without running cables across the floor.
Landing Mat (Included)
6×12 with Birdie 10 or Eagle 12 enclosures; 6×15 with Albatross 13. Sits at the base of the enclosure in front of the hitting mat. Included in the SimKit — sized automatically to the enclosure selected at checkout.
Optional: GSPro Gaming PC
The R50 needs no PC to play — Home Tee Hero and shot tracking run entirely on its built-in touchscreen. Golfers who want GSPro or E6 Connect can add one of ESG's turnkey gaming desktops, each with an Intel Core Ultra processor and an RTX 5070 or RTX 5060 GPU depending on tier, ready to run out of the box.
