Built for an Immersive 12-Foot Simulator Bay

The Eagle 12 is designed for golfers who want a true indoor studio feel. With an enclosure footprint of 12' wide by 8'2" tall by 5' deep, it creates a large, confidence-inspiring hitting window that fills your projector image while giving the bay a more finished, dedicated-simulator appearance.

Its 4:3 aspect ratio is well suited to golf simulation, allowing for a wide and immersive projected image without excessive unused space above or below the playing surface. The result is a bay that feels substantial, polished, and purpose-built for simulator use.

4K Triple-Layer Impact Screen

At the center of the Eagle 12 is a 4K-ready premium triple-layer impact screen designed for simulator environments where image quality and durability both matter. The multi-layer construction helps support a bright, clean projected image while also handling repeated golf ball impact during normal use.

For best longevity and performance, the golf ball is intended to strike the screen itself. Additional use guidance and impact-screen warranty details are outlined in the warranty section at the bottom of this page.

Velvet-Lined Enclosure with Professional Finish

The interior of the enclosure is lined in dark velvet to help absorb excess light and improve perceived contrast around the hitting area. This creates a cleaner visual frame around the screen and helps the projected image stand out more naturally in the bay.

Matching enclosure flaps overlap the perimeter of the impact screen using hook-and-loop fastening to create a more seamless transition from screen to surround. This gives the Eagle 12 a polished appearance that looks at home in a premium residential or commercial simulator setup.

Heavy-Duty Steel Frame

The Eagle 12 uses a 1-1/4" (32 mm) powder-coated steel frame built for rigidity, long-term structure, and repeatable setup. Once assembled, the frame helps keep the enclosure panels and screen positioned properly for a cleaner final result.

Anti-collision padding on the top rail adds another layer of protection for both the frame and the golfer in the event of an occasional high follow-through.

Why Golfers Choose Eagle 12
  • Large 12-foot-wide hitting bay
  • Premium 4K-ready triple-layer screen
  • Velvet-lined surround for cleaner visuals
  • Heavy-duty steel frame construction
  • Fast, tool-free assembly
  • Works well with popular short-throw projector setups
  • Ideal core enclosure for full simulator packages
Important Use Note
The screen is designed to absorb ball impact during normal simulator use. Repeated impact to enclosure flaps, lower surround areas, side panels, or top panels falls outside intended screen use. Please review the warranty section at the bottom of the page before purchase.

Fast, Straightforward Assembly

Despite its premium construction, the Eagle 12 is designed to go together quickly. The numbered frame sections snap together without special tools, and most installations can be completed in approximately 45–60 minutes with two people.

Once assembled, you get the feel of a dedicated simulator bay that looks integrated into the room while still remaining serviceable or movable if your setup changes in the future.

A Strong Foundation for Your Launch Monitor Setup

Pair the Eagle 12 with your preferred launch monitor, short-throw projector, and hitting mat to build a complete simulator package around a proven enclosure platform. The spacious hitting window, simulator-friendly aspect ratio, and clean enclosure finish make it a strong fit for golfers building around Garmin, Uneekor, overhead systems, and other popular launch monitor options.

Important: Please review the warranty and use terms at the bottom of this page before purchase. The impact screen is intended to absorb normal ball impact to the screen only, and warranty coverage/details for screen material, enclosure surround, flaps, and use conditions are outlined there.

Warranty & Use Terms
Coverage
One (1) year warranty on the impact screen material only.
Not Covered
Attached flaps, velvet border/surround, and outer enclosure fabric.
Intended Use
The golf ball is intended to strike the screen only.

Elite Sim Golf impact screens are covered by a one (1) year warranty on the impact screen material only. This warranty does not include the flaps attached to the screen, the screen’s velvet border/surround, or the outer enclosure fabric surround.

Golf simulator impact screens are designed for the golf ball to strike the screen only. Repeated low shots into the bottom portion of the screen that cause the ball to drive the screen back into the lower enclosure bar may damage the lower velvet surround. Damage resulting from this type of contact is not considered a warranty issue.

For golfers who are newer to the game, high-handicap players, junior players, or instructional environments where low shots are more common, Elite Sim Golf recommends using yoga wedges or the Worm Burner Defender to help reduce the likelihood of this type of damage.

The outer enclosure fabric is intended to help contain mis-hit shots in many situations, but ball containment is not guaranteed. Repeated or direct impact to the enclosure surround, side panels, or top panels is outside the intended use of the impact screen system.

If wedge shots are repeatedly striking the top of the enclosure, this generally indicates the golfer is hitting from an improper distance from the screen or delivering excessive delofting through improper swing mechanics. Under proper use conditions, even a 62-degree wedge struck from approximately 10 feet from the screen should not produce a launch angle high enough to contact the top of the enclosure.

Damage caused by misuse, repeated mis-hits, improper setup, improper hitting distance, or impact to areas other than the screen itself is not covered under warranty.

Golf Simulator Setup & Safety FAQ

How far away should I stand from my impact screen?

For the safety of both the golfer and the screen, we recommend standing a minimum of 10–12 feet away from the screen.

How much space do I need for a golf simulator enclosure?

When planning your golf simulator space, make sure to account for:

  • Buffer space – Avoid placing the enclosure directly against walls or ceilings to help prevent bounceback and reduce the chance of damage.
  • Enclosure footprint – Always verify the exact enclosure dimensions when planning your layout.
  • Safe hitting distance – Golfers should stand approximately 10–12 feet away from the screen.
  • Golfer height – Taller golfers require additional ceiling clearance for a full swing.
  • Club length – Drivers require more swing space than irons.
  • Turf thickness and obstacles – Consider HVAC ducts, soffits, lighting fixtures, and flooring height.
  • Room layout – Ensure there is adequate space for walkways, furniture, and access to doors.
Can I iron or steam a golf impact screen?

We do NOT recommend ironing your golf screen, because it is very easy to damage the screen material. Our goal is for your impact screen to last as long as possible.

When it comes to wrinkles and fold marks, the best solution is prevention. Unpack your new screen immediately after receiving it, and if you need to store it temporarily, fold it very loosely.

Mounting the screen with proper tension using zip ties or ball bungees and allowing it to relax for a couple of days will smooth out most wrinkles naturally.

That being said…

We have also had success using a clothing steamer to remove wrinkles and fold lines. Using a clean consumer-grade steamer with distilled water can help accelerate the process while avoiding water marks on the screen.

Can I wash my golf screen material?

For detailed cleaning instructions and best practices, please see our article:

“How to Clean Your Golf Impact Screen.”

Are there safety concerns when using a golf simulator?

We want your indoor golf setup to be fun, help improve your game, and remain safe for everyone.

Always follow these safety guidelines:

  • Follow the assembly manual provided with your enclosure.
  • Keep children, pets, and spectators outside of swing range.
  • Protect ceilings, walls, windows, vehicles, and nearby property.
  • Ensure your enclosure and impact screen are properly tensioned.
  • Always use equipment as intended for indoor golf simulator use.
What happens if the black enclosure material gets hit by a golf ball?

The enclosure material is not designed to absorb direct golf ball impacts. During normal use, golf balls should strike the impact screen first.

If a ball contacts the screen and then lightly rebounds into the enclosure fabric, it typically will not cause any issues.

Can I get a replacement impact screen for the enclosure?

Yes. Replacement impact screens are available if your current screen becomes worn or damaged.

Contact our customer support team and we can help match the correct screen size and material for your enclosure.

Proper installation and correct tensioning can significantly extend the life of your golf simulator screen.

How long does it take to assemble the enclosure?

Most DIY golf simulator enclosures assemble in about 45–90 minutes, depending on the enclosure size.

Installation is typically faster with two people. Assembly instructions and reference materials are included to guide the process.

What pipes are required to build the enclosure frame?

DIY golf simulator enclosures require 1-inch EMT (Electrical Metal Tubing) to construct the frame.

You have two options:

  • Add a Pipe Framing Kit so pipes arrive pre-cut to the exact lengths.
  • Purchase EMT conduit from a local hardware or building supply store.

Your enclosure kit will include the exact pipe lengths and quantities required.

What are EMT pipes?

EMT stands for Electrical Metal Tubing, also known as electrical conduit. These metal pipes are used to construct the frame structure of simulator enclosures.

Important: Do not substitute PVC pipe for EMT. PVC lacks the strength required and will not properly fit EMT fittings.

Do I need to use a golf hitting mat?

Golf hitting mats provide a cushioned surface for standing and swinging your golf club. They help protect your joints during impact and allow you to tee the ball at the proper height for realistic practice.

When choosing a hitting mat size, consider the needs of the golfer and the available simulator space.

  • 4' × 5' – Allows most golfers to comfortably swing a driver with their heels near the edge of the mat.
  • 5' × 7' – Provides additional stance room for wider swings.
  • 4' × 9' – Ideal for simulator setups used by both right- and left-handed golfers.

Larger mats are also helpful when multiple players will be using the simulator.
