Golf Simulator Enclosure Assembly Guide

Thanks for choosing Elite Sim Golf for your simulator build. This guide will walk you through assembling your Elite Sim Golf enclosure step by step so you can go from bare room to ready-to-play faster and with less guesswork.

Assembly Time: 45–90 minutes with 2 people
Tools Required: None for the enclosure frame (your projector mount may require basic tools)

1

Before You Begin

Prepare the room. Clear the area where the enclosure will sit, including a couple of extra feet around the footprint so you can move freely during setup. Sweep or vacuum the floor to keep the fabric panels clean and snag-free.

Verify ceiling height. Make sure your ceiling height is greater than the listed enclosure height so the frame can stand upright without scraping the ceiling.

Unbox & lay out components. In your Elite Sim Golf enclosure kit, you should find powder-coated steel frame tubes (various lengths), corner and straight connectors, a premium 3-layer impact screen, left and right wall panels, a ceiling panel with optional front valance, and bungees or ball bungees with attachment straps.

Check quantities. Compare what you’ve laid out with the packing list, then group frame pipes by length and lay them roughly where they’ll go (front, back, sides, verticals) to make assembly more intuitive.

Elite Sim Golf Tip: Take a quick photo of all parts laid out before you start. If you ever disassemble and rebuild, that photo makes reassembly much easier.

2

Build the Base Frame

Create the footprint. On the floor, arrange the longest pipes into a rectangle matching your enclosure’s width and depth. Position corner connectors at each corner with the vertical socket pointing straight up.

Connect the base. Push each pipe firmly into its connector until fully seated. Check that the rectangle looks square; if you want to be precise, measure the diagonals—they should be close to equal.

3

Install the Upright Posts

Add verticals at the corners. Insert a vertical tube into each upward-facing corner connector. If your size includes mid-span supports along the sides, insert those verticals as well.

Roughly align. The uprights don’t have to be perfect yet—just close to vertical. Final alignment happens once the top frame is attached.

4

Attach the Top Frame

Assemble the top rectangle. On the floor (if space allows), connect the remaining pipes and corner connectors to form a second rectangle matching the base.

Lift and secure the top. With two people, lift one side of the top frame and slide it onto the vertical posts. Move around the frame, connecting each corner and mid-support until all joints are seated.

Final frame check. Step back and confirm that the frame looks square and upright and that the “screen side” (hitting side) is oriented correctly and fully clear.

Elite Sim Golf Tip: If your floor isn’t perfectly level, don’t stress—slight frame twist is common. Focus on the front face where the screen will mount; that’s what needs to look clean and square.

5

Install Side Walls & Ceiling Panels

We recommend installing the dark wall and ceiling fabric before the impact screen. It’s easier to move around the frame this way.

Identify each fabric panel. The side walls are tall, narrow panels for the left and right. The ceiling is a wide panel that spans the top frame. The front valance (if included) is a shorter piece that finishes the front opening.

Hang the side walls. Start at the top front corner of one side and use the sewn loops, hook-and-loop straps, or bungees to attach the panel to the top and side pipes. Work toward the back and down the uprights, keeping the fabric smooth but not drum-tight. Repeat on the opposite side.

Install the ceiling panel. Spread the ceiling panel over the top of the frame. Attach along the front bar first, then secure the sides and rear. Make sure the ceiling overlaps the side walls slightly so there are no visible gaps.

Add the front valance (if included). Attach the valance across the front top bar to hide the frame and give the enclosure a clean, finished look from the hitting area.

6

Mount the Impact Screen

The impact screen is the heart of your simulator experience. Proper tensioning keeps it looking great and reduces bounce-back.

Orient the screen. Lay the screen flat on the floor in front of the frame. Make sure the correct side is facing the hitting area (usually the smoother, projection-friendly side) and that any tag indicating “TOP” is oriented correctly.

Attach the top edge first. Starting from the center of the top bar, feed a bungee through the center grommet and loop it around the top pipe, closing it so it’s snug but not maxed out. Work outward from the center toward each corner, attaching bungees at each grommet.

Attach the left and right edges. Move down each side, adding bungees from top to bottom and keeping tension even but slightly soft so the screen can “catch” the ball and absorb impact.

Secure the bottom edge. Attach the bottom of the screen to the lower frame bar or floor anchors/weights (depending on your configuration) using the remaining bungees. Avoid pulling it ultra-tight; a subtle “pillow” effect is ideal.

Elite Sim Golf Tip: If you’re planning 4K projection, spend an extra minute smoothing out bigger waves and creases around the center of the screen—we want that impact zone looking as flat and clean as possible.

7

Tensioning & Fine Tuning

Check from the hitting position. Stand on your hitting mat and look directly at the screen. Light ripples are normal; large folds or dramatic sagging in the center should be adjusted.

Adjust tension strategically. If the center sags, slightly tighten a few bungees in that area or move them closer together. If a hard crease forms, try loosening one or two nearby bungees rather than tightening more.

Confirm full coverage. Make sure the side walls extend behind the screen edges, the ceiling overlaps the top of the screen, and there are no visible gaps where a ball could sneak through to the frame.

8

Safety Check & First Shots

Stability check. Gently push the frame from the sides and front. It should move as one unit but not wobble dramatically. If needed, add floor weights or sandbags, anti-slip pads under the base pipes, or optional wall anchors (if appropriate for your space).

Position the hitting mat. Center the mat horizontally on the screen and place it at the distance recommended by your launch monitor and your comfort level.

Test with short clubs first. Start with half-speed wedges or short irons and watch how the screen reacts—balls should be absorbed and drop gently, not rocket back at your feet.

Adjust if necessary. If you see too much bounce-back, loosen the screen slightly or move the mat a bit farther away. If balls drift toward the frame, adjust your mat position or nudge the screen alignment so your typical shot pattern lands in the center third.

Projector & Launch Monitor Setup

Every room and hardware combo is a little different, but these guidelines will get you close:

Projector placement. Mount your projector at the recommended throw distance and offset for your specific model. Use zoom, focus, and keystone controls so the image fills the usable screen area and doesn’t spill onto the black borders.

Launch monitor setup. Install your launch monitor (floor-mounted, ceiling-mounted, or radar behind the player) according to its manual. Complete any required calibration or club/ball setup before hitting full-speed shots.

Elite Sim Golf Tip: If you’re unsure about projector or launch monitor placement, reach out to Elite Sim Golf. We help customers dial in these details every day and can recommend optimal layouts for your exact space.

10

Care, Maintenance & Long-Term Performance

Cleaning the impact screen. Dust with a soft brush or microfiber cloth as needed. Spot clean gently with a mild soap solution and avoid harsh chemicals that could affect image quality.

Fabric panel maintenance. Periodically check the side and ceiling panels for dust or loosened straps. Retighten straps or bungees if any area begins to sag.

Hardware check. Every few weeks, inspect bungees for overstretching or wear and confirm frame connections remain fully seated and solid.
