Mevo Gen2 SimKit — Optoma GT2400HDR 1080P Projector + Beaver Tail 4×5.5 Mat
By FlightScope
A Complete Radar-Based Simulator Bay
Around the FlightScope Mevo Gen2
The Mevo Gen2 SimKit pairs FlightScope’s Fusion Tracking launch monitor with the Optoma GT2400HDR 1080P ultra-short-throw laser projector, compact Beaver Tail 4×5.5 hitting mat, and the aluminum enclosure selected at checkout. It is the lowest-priced Mevo Gen2 SimKit in the lineup.
The Mevo Gen2 sits on its included low tripod approximately 7–9 ft behind the golfer, directly on the target line. That rear placement supports seamless right- and left-handed play without moving the monitor. The GT2400HDR is the value-tier display choice for tighter rooms and ambient light, while the compact mat keeps this complete build focused on value.
FlightScope Mevo Gen2 — Fusion Tracking From Behind the Golfer
The Mevo Gen2 uses FlightScope Fusion Tracking: patented 3D Doppler Radar synchronized with image processing. Rather than sitting at the mat or overhead, this compact ground-based monitor sits approximately 7–9 ft behind the ball on the target line. It measures 20 full swing, chipping, and putting parameters directly, with no required subscription for core data.
A built-in laser and camera alignment guide in the FS Golf app helps set tilt, roll, and direction before a session. Its centerline placement also means left- and right-handed golfers can switch without relocating the unit.
Fusion Tracking Accuracy
3D Doppler Radar and synchronized image processing measure ball and club data from behind the golfer.
20 Data Parameters
Full swing, chipping, and putting metrics are directly measured with no required Mevo Gen2 subscription.
Seamless Lefty / Righty
Centered target-line placement means golfers can swap handedness without moving or realigning the unit.
E6 Connect Included
A lifetime E6 Connect bundle with 8 real-world courses ships with the Mevo Gen2.
GSPro & Awesome Golf
Compatible with GSPro on PC and Awesome Golf on PC or iOS for simulator play.
Compact & Portable
At 1.1 lb with USB-C charging and up to 6 hours of battery use, it also travels to the range.
Place the Mevo Gen2 on flat, level flooring approximately 7–9 ft directly behind the ball. Indoor simulator rooms should allow for rear clearance plus ball flight to the screen; about 15–19 ft of total depth is recommended in practice. View the standalone FlightScope Mevo Gen2.
Optoma GT2400HDR — Bright 1080P Value for Tighter Rooms
The GT2400HDR is the value-tier display engine in this Mevo Gen2 lineup. Its 4,200-lumen laser engine supports bright simulator play where ambient light is a concern, while native 1080P resolution keeps course visuals and data clear. The 0.496:1 ultra-short fixed throw is especially suited to tighter rooms when confirmed with the fitment tool.
This projector is a practical budget-friendly choice for a permanent simulator display without stepping into the cost of a 4K upgrade. Its laser light source is rated for up to 30,000 hours.
Native 1080P
1920×1080 Full HD resolution for a clear, immersive image across the impact screen.
4200 Lumens
A bright laser engine that helps the image hold up in rooms with ambient light.
0.496:1 Ultra-Short Throw
Fixed ultra-short throw supports compact room planning and keeps the projector close to the screen.
30,000-Hour Laser Life
Long-life laser illumination avoids routine lamp replacements in a permanent simulator bay.
Three Enclosure Sizes, One Complete Bay
Select the enclosure that fits the room, desired screen width, and depth needed for the Mevo Gen2’s behind-the-golfer placement. All visual selector options use a tool-free aluminum frame. Eagle 12 is the most popular choice; Birdie 10 is the compact option; Albatross 13 makes room for a wider 16:9 display and deeper bay.
Eagle 12 Enclosure
Wide enough for a generous 4:3 screen, while its 60″ enclosure depth fits common two-car garage bays. This configuration includes a 6×12 landing mat.
Birdie 10 Enclosure
The compact 120″-wide 4:3 enclosure for narrower rooms, basement lanes, and single-car garage bays. This configuration includes a 6×12 landing mat.
Albatross 13 Enclosure
The widest option uses a 16:9 screen, 72″ enclosure depth, and a larger 6×15 landing mat. Choose it when the room has depth to support the radar rear clearance and a cinema-scale image.
Enclosure dimensions are only part of the plan. Confirm ceiling height and the GT2400HDR location with the Projector Fitment Tool, then reserve the 7–9 ft rear space required by the Mevo Gen2.
Beaver Tail 4×5.5 — Compact, Replaceable, Value-Focused
This is the only Mevo Gen2 SimKit paired with the compact Beaver Tail 4×5.5 hitting mat rather than the 4×8.25 double-wide. Its smaller single-sided footprint makes room planning simpler and helps keep the package at the lowest price point in the Mevo Gen2 SimKit lineup.
The Mevo Gen2 sits behind the golfer, so the front of the mat and ball flight stay clear while rear space is reserved for the radar. The mat’s replaceable hitting strip is designed for realistic, joint-friendly practice over long sessions.
4×5.5 Footprint
Compact single-sided stance platform for value-focused rooms and tighter simulator bays.
Replaceable Hitting Strip
Replace the wear surface rather than the full mat when the hitting strip reaches the end of its service life.
Joint-Friendly Feel
The realistic insert is designed to soften the impact of repeated practice swings.
Stable Bay Surface
Dense construction stays flat through full swings and pairs with the landing mat at the enclosure base.
Birdie 10 and Eagle 12 include a 6×12 landing mat. Albatross 13 includes a 6×15 landing mat. View the Beaver Tail 4×5.5 hitting mat.
