The Mevo Gen2 sits on its included low tripod approximately 7–9 ft behind the ball, aimed down the target line at the screen. That rear-of-player placement keeps the unit clear of the mat and lets right- and left-handed golfers alternate without moving or realigning the monitor. FlightScope Mevo Gen2 — Radar Placement That Keeps the Mat Clear
The FlightScope Mevo Gen2 uses Fusion Tracking, FlightScope’s combination of 3D Doppler Radar and synchronized image processing. Instead of reading shots from in front of the mat, the 1.1 lb unit sits low on its included tripod directly behind the golfer, aimed down the target line toward the impact screen.
Place the unit approximately 7–9 ft behind the ball, with 8 ft a common indoor reference point. The FS Golf app provides built-in laser and camera alignment feedback so tilt and roll can be confirmed before each session. This rear-of-player position also makes switching between right- and left-handed golfers seamless: the monitor stays on the target line and does not need to move.

The Mevo Gen2 needs rear clearance rather than floor space in front of the mat. Plan for the unit 7–9 ft behind the ball and approximately 15–19 ft of total room depth for a simulator bay, including ball flight and comfortable swing-through space. Flat, level flooring supports consistent alignment.
BenQ AH700ST — Bright 1080P Laser Short Throw
The BenQ AH700ST provides a bright Full HD projected image for the enclosure screen. Its 4,000 ANSI lumens, 0.69–0.83:1 short-throw range, simulator-focused tuning, and 20,000-hour laser light source are selected for dedicated indoor golf use.
Native 1920×1080 resolution keeps course graphics and on-screen data clear at the impact screen. The AH700ST is designed to mount close to the screen on the included projector mount, keeping the display hardware out of the hitting area and swing path.
Auto Screen Fit, Quick Focus, and keystone controls support image alignment during installation. BenQ Golf Mode is designed to preserve fairway and green detail, while the laser light source eliminates periodic lamp replacement.

Three Enclosure Sizes for the Bay
Choose the enclosure that matches room width, ceiling clearance, and the desired screen format. The Mevo Gen2 needs additional space behind the golfer, so total room depth is a central planning consideration. Eagle 12 Enclosure
The Eagle 12 balances a generous 144″ screen width with a 60″ enclosure depth. It is a common fit for standard two-car garages and dedicated rooms, provided the room still has the rear clearance needed by the Mevo Gen2.
Birdie 10 Enclosure
The Birdie 10 uses a 120″ width and 4:3 screen to serve narrower bays. It is the enclosure option for spaces where screen width is limited, while the overall room still needs a clear target line and rear placement distance for the radar unit.
Albatross 13 Enclosure
The Albatross 13 is the largest visual option, with a 156″ wide 16:9 screen and 72″ enclosure depth. It is a strong choice for rooms with additional overall depth and for shared bays where the monitor’s no-move lefty/righty switching is valuable.
Beaver Tail 4×8.25 Double-Wide Hitting Mat
This AH700ST Mevo Gen2 SimKit includes the Beaver Tail 4×8.25 double-wide mat. Its broad stance platform supports both right- and left-handed players, while the replaceable hitting strip is designed for a realistic, joint-conscious strike through high-volume practice.
The 4×8.25 footprint gives a shared bay a stable stance surface on either side of the centered hitting strip. Because the Mevo Gen2 reads from behind the golfer on the target line, the mat area stays clear in front of the player for the enclosure and landing mat.
When the hitting strip eventually wears, the insert can be replaced instead of replacing the entire mat. This serviceable construction helps preserve the long-term value of a permanent simulator build.
