The Beaver Tail 4ft × 8.25ft hitting mat is the current standard included with this SIMKIT. It replaced the previous Elite ProTee 5×10 mat as the SimKit standard because of one key advantage: the hitting strip is replaceable.
The hitting strip is where the mat degrades first. Most mats require full replacement when the hitting area wears out — the Beaver Tail’s replaceable strip changes that equation for regular-use simulator bays.
