A Full-Width Golf Screen That Rolls Out of the Way
The METechs Retractable Kit puts a 3-ply Pro impact screen on a heavy-duty motorized roller, with optional motorized black side curtains on their own rollers. One press of the remote drops the bay for a round. One more press rolls everything up so the car goes back in the garage.
- Seven standard screen widths from 94″ to 236″ — single-stall to triple-bay garages
- Pro White or Pro Gray 3-ply impact screen
- Optional motorized side curtains in 36″, 56″, 82″, or 94″ depths
- One remote runs all three rollers with programmable start and stop positions
Why the METechs Retractable Kit
Most retractable enclosures are sold in a handful of fixed sizes. The METechs kit is configured by screen width, side depth, and ceiling height, so the bay can be sized to the wall instead of the wall being sized to the bay.
Heavy-Duty Motorized Roller
The impact screen rides on a heavy-duty motorized roller. Press the remote and the screen drops to the programmed stop. Press again and it rolls up clear of the garage door and vehicles.
Pro White or Pro Gray 3-Ply Screen
Choose the Pro White 3-ply impact screen for maximum brightness, or upgrade to Pro Gray for deeper contrast in rooms with ambient light. The screen bottom is padded where it meets the weight bar.
Motorized Blackout Sides
Optional black side curtains mount on their own motorized rollers in 36″, 56″, 82″, or 94″ depths. They contain mishits, block light bleed, and roll up with the screen.
One Remote, Programmable Stops
A single remote controls all three rollers. Start and stop positions are programmed for each roller, so the screen and sides land at the same height every time.
Weight Bars for Tension
Weight bars are included for the screen and both side curtains. They keep the fabric under tension for a flatter projection surface and a cleaner drop.
Optional Ceiling Baffle
The optional ceiling baffle covers the roller and the gap between the roller and the ceiling, so high shots do not strike the roller hardware or escape over the top of the screen.
Screen Only or a Full U-Shape Bay
Run the impact screen on its own against a wall, or add the motorized side curtains for a U-shape bay that contains mishits and blacks out the room around the image. Everything retracts to the ceiling line when not in use.
Screen Only
Motorized impact screen with weight bar. Best when side walls already sit close to the screen edges.
Screen + Motorized Sides
Screen plus two black side curtains on motorized rollers. All three rollers run from one remote.
Sized by Width and Depth
Screen width sets the bay width. Side depth sets how far the curtains run back toward the hitter.
Built for Rooms That Have Another Job
Garage Golfers
The screen rolls up above the door tracks when not in use, so the bay shares space with vehicles instead of claiming a stall.
Wide or Odd-Sized Walls
Seven widths up to 236″ cover double and triple bays and walls that do not fit a fixed 10′ or 12′ enclosure.
Multi-Use Rooms
Basements, bonus rooms, and gyms where the golf bay needs to disappear between sessions.
Hands-On Installers
Ceiling-mounted roller brackets, power connections, and roller assembly suit a buyer comfortable with a DIY install or a local installer.
Choose Width, Sides, and Screen Color
Select the screen width, side curtain depth, and screen color in the options above. Ceiling extensions and the ceiling baffle are ordered as add-ons. Mounting width is always 4.5″ wider than the screen or side curtain.
Match the Screen to the Wall
Mounting width is the space the roller and brackets need. Choose the largest width that fits the available wall.
| Screen Width | Approx. | Mounting Width |
|---|---|---|
| 94″ | 7′ 10″ | 98.5″ |
| 118″ | 9′ 10″ | 122.5″ |
| 142″ | 11′ 10″ | 146.5″ |
| 166″ | 13′ 10″ | 170.5″ |
| 190″ | 15′ 10″ | 194.5″ |
| 214″ | 17′ 10″ | 218.5″ |
| 236″ | 19′ 8″ | 240.5″ |
Add Motorized Blackout Sides
Side curtains are optional and sold as a motorized pair. Depth is measured from the screen back toward the hitting area.
| Side Depth | Approx. | Mounting Length |
|---|---|---|
| None | — | — |
| 36″ | 3′ | 40.5″ |
| 56″ | 4′ 8″ | 60.5″ |
| 82″ | 6′ 10″ | 86.5″ |
| 94″ | 7′ 10″ | 98.5″ |
Pro White or Pro Gray
Pro White is included and delivers the brightest image. Pro Gray 3-ply adds contrast for garages and rooms with windows or overhead lighting.
Ceiling Height and Baffle
The standard kit mounts at 118″ or less. For 119″–144″ or 145″–168″ ceilings, add the matching ceiling extension. Add the ceiling baffle to cover the roller and ceiling gap.

Choose a Projector for the METechs Kit
The right projector depends on room depth, ceiling height, and whether a ceiling-mounted overhead launch monitor will be installed. Use the Projector Fitment Tool to confirm mounting distance before purchasing.

Questions on the METechs Retractable Kit?
Wall width, ceiling height, garage door track clearance, and power location all factor into a METechs order — and every kit is final sale. The Elite Sim Golf team can check the room before the order is placed.
Contact Elite Sim Golf →METechs Retractable Kit — FAQ
How much wall width do I need for the METechs Retractable Kit?
Mounting width is 4.5″ wider than the screen. A 94″ screen needs 98.5″ of mounting width, a 142″ screen needs 146.5″, and a 236″ screen needs 240.5″. Side curtains follow the same rule: each side roller needs 4.5″ more than the selected side depth.
What ceiling height does the kit work with?
The standard kit mounts at a maximum height of 118″. For taller ceilings, add the ceiling extension that matches the room: 119″–144″ or 145″–168″. Extensions bring the roller mounting position down so the kit works with ceilings up to 14 ft.
Can it be mounted above a garage door?
Yes. When mounting above the garage door tracks, a minimum of 12″ from the ceiling to the top of the door tracks is recommended so the rollers and brackets have room. Confirm the door, opener, and tracks clear the rolled-up screen before ordering.
What is included with the kit?
The kit includes the METechs Pro 3-ply impact screen on a heavy-duty motorized roller, weight bars for the screen and any side curtains, padding at the screen weight bar, and a single remote that controls every roller. Motorized side curtains, the Pro Gray screen upgrade, ceiling extensions, and the ceiling baffle are optional.
Are the side curtains motorized?
Yes. The optional black side curtains are mounted on their own motorized rollers and are sold as a pair in 36″, 56″, 82″, or 94″ depths. The same remote raises and lowers the screen and both sides, with programmable start and stop positions for each roller.
Should I choose Pro White or Pro Gray?
Pro White is included and is the brightest projection surface. Pro Gray 3-ply adds contrast and is a strong choice for garages and rooms with windows, overhead lighting, or light-colored walls.
What does the ceiling baffle do?
The optional ceiling baffle covers the roller and the gap between the roller and the ceiling. It keeps high shots from striking the roller hardware or escaping over the top of the screen.
What power is required?
The motorized rollers need a power connection near the mounting location. The 3-prong, 15A power plugs are not included, so plan the outlet location and wiring before installation.
What projector works with the METechs kit?
The BenQ AK700ST is the premium 4K short-throw recommendation and works alongside ceiling-mounted overhead launch monitors such as VTrack. The Optoma GT2400HDR is the best-value 1080p laser option; its 0.496:1 ultra-short throw mounts much closer to the screen, so confirm it clears the roller, baffle, and any overhead launch monitor bracket. Use the Projector Fitment Tool to confirm placement for the selected screen width.
Can I return the METechs Retractable Kit?
No. All sales are final on METechs retractable kits because each kit is built to the selected configuration. Confirm wall width, ceiling height, door track clearance, and power location before ordering, and contact Elite Sim Golf with any fit questions.
Can I build a complete simulator around this kit?
Yes. Pair the METechs kit with a launch monitor, projector, and hitting mat. The VTrack Premium 4K SimKit is a natural fit for garages because the launch monitor mounts on the ceiling, or use the SimKit Bundle Builder to choose each component.
How does the METechs kit compare to the SportScreen Vanish Series?
The METechs kit is configured by screen width, side depth, and ceiling height, with seven widths from 94″ to 236″. The SportScreen Vanish Series is a fixed-size, fully retractable enclosure with an integrated screen, side, and ceiling system. For a permanent fixed-frame bay, the PRO Series 12x9 is the fixed-frame option, with a gray triple-layer screen and premium finishing included.
