A Golf Bay That Folds Away — Simpler Install, Lower Entry

The Vanish LITE is a hybrid-retractable golf enclosure designed for garages, basements, and multi-purpose rooms where a permanent simulator bay is not practical. The front screen rolls up fully; the side curtains slide open and pin back. Three models cover single-car stalls to wide-room setups — all sharing the same 3-ply impact screen and included rear blackout membrane as the full Vanish Series, at a lower starting price with a simpler two-point wall mount.

What Makes It Work

Designed for Rooms That Do More Than Golf

The Vanish LITE trades some of the full Vanish Series’ retractability for a simpler mounting system, faster install, and a lower price — while keeping the same impact screen technology that defines the SportScreen lineup.

Same 3-Ply Impact Screen

The Vanish LITE uses the identical 3-ply polyester blend spacer screen as the full Vanish Series — approximately 1/8″ thick, custom woven, resists puckering and burn-in from high-spin shots. No downgrade on screen quality at the LITE price point.

Rear Blackout Membrane Included

A dedicated rear impact support membrane is included on all LITE models. It rolls up with the front screen, absorbs ball energy to protect the primary screen, blocks ambient light for better projection contrast, and prevents balls from slipping behind the enclosure.

Single-Surface Mount — Two Points

The LITE mounts to a single wall or ceiling surface at two anchor points. No level joists required, no second surface needed. This makes it compatible with vaulted ceilings, sloped garage ceilings, and spaces where the full Vanish’s four-point system would require framing work first.

Built-In Corner & Baffle System

Corners, side baffles, front baffle, and valence baffle are integrated into the bracket design — no separate Velcro attachment required. Pull out the side curtains and the enclosure is sealed. Full Vanish Series owners have to attach corner strips separately during each setup.

Hand Crank or Motorized

The hand crank rolls the front screen up in approximately 30 seconds with no power required — a simple, reliable option. The motorized version adds one-touch remote control and is compatible with Alexa, Google Home, and the Tuya app for voice or smart-home integration.

Lifetime Frame Warranty

The aluminum roller tube and frame carry a lifetime warranty. All other components are covered for 1 year when the approved SportScreen impact screen (included) is used. Replacement screens are available from authorized dealers to maintain warranty coverage.

Buyer Profiles

Who the Vanish LITE Is Built For

The LITE format solves the same core problem as the full Vanish Series — permanent enclosures taking up multi-use space — but in a package optimized for simpler ceilings, tighter budgets, and faster setups.

Vaulted or Sloped Ceilings

The full Vanish requires level joists and two mounting surfaces — often impractical with a vaulted or angled garage ceiling. The LITE’s two-point wall mount works directly on the surface as-is, no framing required.

Entry-Level Retractable Budget

Wants the retractable format without the full Vanish Series price premium. The LITE starts roughly 30% lower and includes the same screen technology, making it the accessible entry point to the SportScreen lineup.

Faster Setup Priority

Typical install is approximately two hours with no specialized tools. The built-in corner and baffle system eliminates the separate Velcro attachment step required on the full Vanish, reducing setup complexity per session.

Garage or Shared Room

The front screen rolls away; the side curtains slide to the back and pin. The room is not fully reclaimed the way it is with the full Vanish’s retractable sides, but it clears enough space to use the garage or room normally between sessions.

Which Vanish LITE Fits Your Room?

Three standard widths cover single-car garage stalls through wide bonus rooms. All share the same 9 ft minimum ceiling height and 3 ft side curtain depth — choose based on screen width and aspect ratio.

Need More Retractability or Width?

Step Up to the Full Vanish Series

The LITE is the right choice for most vaulted-ceiling, budget-first, or simpler-install situations. For setups that need fully retractable sides, 5 ft or 10 ft enclosure depth, bays wider than 13 ft, or a 2-year component warranty, the full Vanish Series is the next step.

Fully Retractable Sides

Vanish Series side screens roll up completely — the entire enclosure disappears when not in use. The LITE’s side curtains slide open and pin back, but do not roll away.

5 ft or 10 ft Side Depth

The full Vanish offers 5 ft, 10 ft, or custom side screen depth options. The LITE is fixed at 3 ft — no deeper configurations are available.

Wider Bay Options

The Vanish Series goes up to 16 ft wide with the Vanish 16 and 16H models. The LITE tops out at 13 ft custom. If your room supports a two-car-width bay, the full Vanish covers it.

2-Year Component Warranty

The full Vanish Series covers all components for 2 years. The LITE carries a 1-year limited warranty on components (lifetime frame on both).

Complete Your Setup

Choose a Projector for the Vanish LITE

The right projector depends on room depth, ceiling height, and whether a ceiling-mounted overhead launch monitor will be installed. Use the Projector Fitment Tool to confirm mounting distance before purchasing.

Premium 4K

BenQ AK700ST — 4K Laser Short-Throw

  • 4K UHD resolution
  • 4,000 ANSI lumens
  • Throw ratio: 0.69–0.83:1
  • Laser light source — 20,000 hr rated
  • Auto Screen Fit, Golf Mode, IP5X dust protection
Overhead launch monitor compatible: The AK700ST’s short-throw lens and ceiling-rear mounting position do not interfere with ceiling-mounted overhead launch monitors (e.g. VTrack). Full clearance confirmed.

Best Value Laser

Optoma GT2400HDR — 1080p Ultra-Short-Throw

  • 1080p Full HD resolution
  • 4,200 ANSI lumens
  • Throw ratio: 0.496:1 fixed
  • DuraCore laser — 30,000 hr rated
  • 8.4ms lag, IP6X, HDR10/HLG, 360° placement
Ultra-short throw consideration: The GT2400HDR’s 0.496:1 throw ratio requires the projector to mount much closer to the screen than a standard short-throw model. In setups with a ceiling-mounted overhead launch monitor (e.g. VTrack), verify that the projector mounting position does not conflict with the monitor’s ceiling bracket before purchasing. Use the Projector Fitment Tool to confirm placement.

Frequently Asked Questions

SportScreen Vanish LITE — FAQ

What does “semi-retractable” mean for the Vanish LITE?

The Vanish LITE’s front screen rolls up fully via hand crank or motorized remote — same as the full Vanish Series. The difference is in the sides: the LITE uses sliding side curtains on an aluminum track that slide open and pin back against the wall, but do not roll up and disappear. The full Vanish Series has fully retractable side screens that roll away completely. The LITE reclaims most of the room when retracted, but the side curtain tracks remain visible.

What ceiling height does the Vanish LITE require?

All three Vanish LITE models require a ceiling height between 108″ (9 ft) and 124″ (10 ft 4″) with standard brackets. For ceilings above 124″, 2-ft extension kits are available. The LITE mounts to a single wall or ceiling surface at two points — and unlike the full Vanish Series, it is compatible with vaulted and sloped ceilings without requiring level joists or additional framing.

What is included with the Vanish LITE?

Each Vanish LITE purchase includes: one premium 3-ply impact screen, one rear impact support / blackout membrane, two sliding side curtains (3 ft depth), one ceiling panel, two side baffles, one front baffle, one valence baffle, Versatile Mounting Brackets, and all assembly hardware (Allen keys, bolts, in-slot nuts, hose clamps, carabiners, triangle sliders, Tapcons, D-rings, snap hooks). The hand crank or motorized unit is included based on the option selected. Not included: launch monitor, simulator computer, software, projector, hitting mat, and landing pad.

Is the impact screen on the LITE the same as the full Vanish Series?

Yes. The Vanish LITE uses the same 3-ply polyester blend spacer screen as the full Vanish Series — approximately 1/8″ thick, custom woven, quieter on impact, and resistant to puckering and burn-in from high-spin, high-velocity shots. There is no screen quality downgrade at the LITE price point.

Is the rear blackout membrane included on the Vanish LITE?

Yes. The rear impact support membrane (blackout screen) is included standard on all Vanish LITE models. It rolls up with the front screen during retraction, absorbs ball energy to extend primary screen life, blocks ambient light for sharper projection contrast, and prevents balls from slipping behind the enclosure.

What is the difference between the Vanish LITE and the full Vanish Series?

The main differences are in side retractability, enclosure depth, maximum width, mounting requirements, and price. The LITE has 3 ft sliding side curtains (not rollable), mounts to one surface at two points, tops out at 13 ft wide, and starts at a lower price. The full Vanish Series has fully retractable side screens, 5 ft / 10 ft / custom depth options, widths up to 16 ft, a 4-point two-surface mount, and a 2-year component warranty (vs. 1 year for the LITE). Both share the same 3-ply impact screen and included blackout membrane.

Which model — LITE 9, LITE 11, or LITE 13 — is right for my room?

The LITE 9 is the compact choice for single-car garage stalls or tight spaces and uses a square 1:1 screen ratio. The LITE 11 is the most popular model, fits standard two-car garages, and uses a 4:3 ratio — the most common aspect for golf simulation. The LITE 13 is the widest configuration, uses a 16:10 wide-format ratio, and requires a room at least 13 ft 10″ wide. All models require the same 9 ft minimum ceiling height and 15 ft minimum room depth. Contact Elite Sim Golf with your room measurements for a recommendation.

Can the Vanish LITE be used with a ceiling-mounted overhead launch monitor?

Yes. The Vanish LITE is compatible with ceiling-mounted overhead launch monitors such as the VTrack. However, the mounting bracket for the LITE and the launch monitor ceiling mount must be planned together to avoid conflicts. The BenQ AK700ST projector is confirmed compatible with overhead monitor setups. Use the Projector Fitment Tool and contact Elite Sim Golf if an overhead launch monitor is part of your build.

What projector works best with the Vanish LITE?

The BenQ AK700ST is the premium 4K option and is confirmed compatible with ceiling-mounted overhead launch monitors. The Optoma GT2400HDR is the best-value 1080p laser option, but its 0.496:1 ultra-short throw ratio requires careful mounting verification when an overhead launch monitor is present. Use the Projector Fitment Tool before ordering.

Can I return the Vanish LITE if it does not fit my room?

Standard-width Vanish LITE units carry a 30-day return window. Custom-width configurations are non-returnable — measure your room carefully and contact Elite Sim Golf to confirm dimensions before placing a custom order.

What is the difference between the Vanish LITE and the ESG fixed enclosures (Birdie 10, Eagle 12, Albatross 13)?

The Birdie 10, Eagle 12, and Albatross 13 are freestanding fixed enclosures built on a powder-coated steel tube frame that stays assembled permanently and requires no ceiling mounting. The Vanish LITE mounts to the wall or ceiling and its front screen rolls away when not in use, partially returning the room to everyday use. Fixed enclosures are the better choice when the space is dedicated full-time to golf; the Vanish LITE is better for garages, shared rooms, or vaulted ceilings where a permanent frame is not practical. For the most premium permanent bay, the PRO Series 12x9 is also worth reviewing.
