Tapered tall edge pieces that finish the left and right sides of a tiled subfloor (the front-to-back runs of the room). They create a smooth, tripping-hazard-free transition and hold turf in neatly at the border.
Runs Along the Depth of the Room

Placed along the left and right sides of the room, running front to back. Pair with width edges (front/back) to finish the full perimeter.
Tapered, Tall Profile
An inner lip and tapered tall edge hold turf in neatly at the border, avoiding a tripping hazard where the flooring ends.
Optional, Not Required
Tiles alone form a complete subfloor. Edges are recommended for a finished look, especially when turf is laid on top.

What is the difference between depth edges and width edges?
Depth edges run along the left and right sides of the room (front to back). Width edges run along the front and back of the room (left to right). Most rectangular rooms need both types.
How many packs of depth edges do I need?
Count how many tile-widths run along the left and right sides of the room, then divide by 6 (pack quantity) and round up. The Floor Tile System landing page has a full worked example.
Are these edges required, or optional?
Optional. The floor tiles alone form a complete subfloor. Edge pieces add a finished, tapered perimeter and are recommended when turf is laid on top of the tile system.
Do I still need corner pieces if I order both edge types?
Yes, corner pieces complete the perimeter where a depth edge and a width edge meet. Most setups only need one pack of 4.
