Simulator Green Putting Cup — Regulation 4.25"
Simulator Green Putting Cup
Regulation 4.25" Cup Built For Simulator Turf
A true 4.25" outside-diameter cup — the same regulation width used on every USGA green — machined at a shallow 1/2" depth so it sits flush against a hard sub-floor and holds every putt without a bounce-out. The 3mm wall keeps the lip crisp and the ball drop honest, and the choice of ESG-logo or plain finishes lets a home simulator look built, not improvised.
Every ESG putting cup is machined from solid, impact-tested polymer with a matte inner surface that keeps camera-based launch monitors from picking up false reflections during putts. Sold as a single cup or a pair so a green can be laid out with a target hole and a return hole for two-way practice.
Choose A Style
Three Finishes · Single Or Pair
Pick a style that matches how the sim room reads on camera. All three cups share the same regulation dimensions and 3mm wall — only the top face changes. Pair pricing carries a built-in discount over two singles.
White Cup — ESG Logo
Bright white cup with a single-color Elite Sim Golf logo on the outer flange. Reads clean on green synthetic turf and shows up on every camera angle.
White Cup — Blue ESG Logo
Same regulation cup with a two-color print: white body with the ESG logo rendered in brand navy blue. Best pick for rooms that lean into the ESG color story.
Plain White — No Logo
Solid white regulation cup with no branding on the flange. The right call for content creators, dealer builds, or rooms that need to stay logo-neutral.
Specifications
Regulation Dimensions · Simulator-Friendly Build
Where It Fits
Purpose-built for simulator putting greens. The 1/2" depth is the key spec: full-depth outdoor cups need a sub-floor pocket that no simulator room can offer. This shallow profile sits flat on plywood, OSB, LVP, or concrete under the turf, so the cup lip stays level with the putting surface.
Works with:
- Simulator putting greens and fringe turf
- Big Moss, Tour Links, and other flat-back synthetic greens
- Home office and basement practice mats
- ESG SimKit floor layouts that include a putting station
Not intended for outdoor use in native soil — for regulation in-ground cups, a standard 6" deep cup is the correct spec.
Why This Cup
Built For The Way A Sim Room Actually Rolls
Regulation Feel
4.25" OD matches every USGA green, so speed and line calibration transfer straight to the course.
Flush Sit
1/2" depth lays flat under simulator turf — no plywood cutouts, no floor mods, no sub-floor pocket.
Clean Ball Drop
Rigid 3mm wall keeps the lip square. Putts that catch the edge drop instead of skipping off.
Matte Interior
Non-reflective inside face keeps camera-based launch monitors from picking up spurious hits at address.
Two Logo Reads
Single-color ESG or two-color ESG Blue — both photograph clean under sim-room LED lighting.
Plain Option
No-logo variant for content creators, dealer builds, or rooms that need to stay brand-neutral.
Pair Pricing
Bundled two-pack drops $10 off two singles — the standard build for a two-hole practice loop.
Ships Free
Every order ships free from the ESG Tennessee facility. In-stock for same-week fulfillment.
Install
Cut Once · Drop In · Putt
The install is a 10-minute job on synthetic simulator turf. No adhesive is required — the cup floats in the cutout and the turf tension holds it flush.
Mark The Hole
Set the cup upside down on the turf where the hole should sit and trace the outer flange with a fine marker.
Cut The Turf
Use a sharp utility knife to cut just inside the mark. Trim in small passes — the fit should be snug, not loose.
Drop In The Cup
Seat the cup so the lip sits flush with the turf surface. Rotate to align the logo toward the intended putting line.
Roll It
Putt a few balls from 4, 6, and 8 feet to confirm the lip catches cleanly. Adjust turf tension if the cup shifts.
What's In The Box
Simple, Ready To Install
Every order arrives boxed and ready to cut in. No hardware, no adhesive, no assembly.
Answers
Common Questions
Is this a regulation-size hole?
Yes. The outside diameter is exactly 4.25", the same as every USGA-spec cup on a real green. Putts that fall inside a real hole will also fall inside this one, so speed and line practice transfer directly.
Why is the cup only 1/2" deep?
Simulator floors are hard — plywood, OSB, LVP, or concrete under a synthetic turf top. A full 6" outdoor cup needs a sub-floor pocket that no sim room offers. The 1/2" depth lets the cup sit flat and flush under the turf while still catching the ball with a clean drop and a satisfying stop.
What is the cup made of?
An impact-tested rigid polymer with a matte interior. The 3mm wall keeps the lip square over thousands of putts, and the matte finish prevents reflections that can trip up camera-based launch monitors during setup.
Do I need any tools to install it?
A fine marker and a sharp utility knife. Trace the outer flange onto the turf, cut just inside the mark in small passes, and drop the cup into the hole. No adhesive, no hardware, no sub-floor cutout.
Will it work under a Big Moss or Tour Links green?
Yes — any flat-back synthetic putting green will accept the cup as long as the sub-floor beneath it is flat and rigid. The cup floats in the turf cutout and stays flush without adhesive.
Can I get two cups for one green?
Yes. Select the Pair option in the variant picker — it ships two matching cups in the chosen style at a $10 discount off two singles. Two cups is the standard build for a home simulator green and lets a shooter run a return-putt loop without walking to retrieve a ball.
What is the difference between the ESG logo and the ESG Blue logo?
The single-color ESG cup is printed in one ink — a clean, high-contrast mark on the white flange. The ESG Blue cup uses a two-color process to render the logo in brand navy. Both are printed durably enough to survive daily play; the two-color version photographs a bit richer under sim-room LED lighting.
Which cup is best for a filmed or streamed sim room?
The two-color ESG Blue cup reads best on camera under mixed color-temperature lighting. The plain white cup is the pick for content creators who want the hole to disappear visually so the ball takes center frame.
Will the cup interfere with a launch monitor reading?
No. The matte interior prevents the reflective flash that some polished-metal outdoor cups can throw back into an overhead or floor-mounted camera. Putting is captured cleanly by camera-based systems like the VTrack Overhead Launch Monitor and photometric systems alike.
Can I use this outdoors?
Not recommended. The 1/2" depth is engineered for simulator floors, not native soil. For an outdoor green, use a standard 6"-deep in-ground cup instead.
How does it ship?
Every order ships free from the ESG Tennessee facility. Cups are in-stock and typically leave the warehouse within one business day.
What if I damage the cup during install?
Reach out to ESG support with a photo and order number. Cups damaged during a first install are covered on a case-by-case basis under the ESG-Backed Support policy.
