Compact 4K UHD, DuraCore Laser

4K Resolution In One Of The Smallest Bodies In The Lineup.

The UHZ35ST packs native 4K UHD resolution and a 30,000-hour DuraCore laser light source into a 6.61-pound chassis roughly the size of a large hardcover book. A fixed 0.496:1 throw ratio, sub-5-millisecond input lag at high refresh rates, and IP6X dust sealing make it a compact, low-maintenance way to get 4K into a residential sim bay.

Why The UHZ35ST

4K UHD In A Compact, Low-Maintenance Package.

4K UHD Laser Engine

Native 3840 × 2160 resolution rendered via fast pixel-shifting from a 1080p DLP chip, paired with a 500,000:1 contrast ratio and a sealed DuraCore laser rated for 30,000 hours.

Compact, Ceiling-Friendly Chassis

At 10.79″ × 8.5″ × 4.49″ and 6.61 lbs, the UHZ35ST is one of the smallest and lightest 4K options in the Optoma sim lineup, easing ceiling-mount installs.

Sub-5ms Gaming Latency

Enhanced Gaming Mode drops input lag to as little as 4.4 ms at 1080p/240Hz, keeping shot feedback tight for launch-monitor-driven simulator software.

IP6X Dust-Sealed Optics

A fully sealed optical engine resists dust intrusion in garages and unfinished basements — common environments for home sim builds.

Maintenance-Free Laser Source

DuraCore laser technology eliminates lamp replacements entirely and cuts power consumption by up to 45% versus Optoma's lamp-based projectors.

Full Sim Connectivity

Dual HDMI 2.0 (one with eARC), USB-A power, RS232, and RJ45 network control cover PC-based sims and building integration.

Who Is It Best For?

Builders who want native 4K UHD and a maintenance-free laser light source in the smallest, lightest chassis available, without needing zoom or lens shift for a fixed mounting position.

Short Throw & Setup

A Tight, Predictable Mounting Footprint.

Fixed Short-Throw Geometry

The UHZ35ST's fixed 0.496:1 lens is built for bays where the projector needs to sit close to the screen while still filling a large impact surface.

  • 0.496:1 fixed short-throw ratio, no zoom
  • Screen size range of 36″–300″ diagonal
  • Native 16:9 aspect, compatible with 4:3 and 16:10
  • 116% native lens offset suited to above-centerline ceiling mounts

Manual Alignment Tools

No motorized zoom or auto-fit on this compact model, but keystone correction and a light chassis make manual alignment straightforward.

  • Manual focus, fixed 7.51 mm focal length
  • ±15° horizontal and vertical keystone correction
  • 6.61 lb chassis simplifies ceiling-mount handling
  • Use the ESG fitment tool to confirm exact mounting distance before drilling
What Is The UHZ35ST

4K UHD Built Around A Compact Laser Platform.

The UHZ35ST is a native 4K UHD short-throw projector built around Optoma's sealed DuraCore laser light engine, rated for up to 30,000 hours in Eco mode — years of daily simulator use without the brightness drop-off and lamp replacements that come with traditional light sources.

With a fixed 0.496:1 throw ratio and a published projection distance of 15.75″ to 129.92″, the UHZ35ST mounts close behind the hitting area in compact residential bays. Because the lens has no zoom to compensate for placement error, confirm the exact lens-to-screen distance for the target screen size using the ESG projector fitment tool and throw calculator before finalizing the mount.

Ceiling mount notes: the compact 6.61 lb body and 116% native offset make it a straightforward ceiling-mount candidate behind the player, and the IP6X sealed optical engine adds a layer of protection against dust common in garage and basement installs.

For PC-based simulators running GSPro, E6 Connect, TGC 2019, or Awesome Golf, the UHZ35ST connects over either of its two HDMI 2.0 inputs, with the second input supporting eARC for audio return to an external sound system.

Everything It Does

The Full UHZ35ST Feature Set.

Native 4K UHD Resolution

3840 × 2160 resolution achieved via fast DLP pixel-shifting from a 1080p chip, delivering sharp on-screen detail for course textures and UI overlays.

Fixed Short-Throw Projection

0.496:1 throw ratio fills a 100″ image from roughly four feet, suited to compact enclosures with limited mount depth.

3,500 ANSI Lumens

Bright enough for lights-on viewing in most residential garages and bonus rooms with moderate ambient light.

500,000:1 Contrast Ratio

Strong contrast performance for the compact class, helping shadow detail and highlight separation on course visuals.

HDR10 & HLG With Low-Latency Gaming

HDR support pairs with Enhanced Gaming Mode input lag as low as 4.4 ms at 1080p/240Hz for responsive shot feedback.

Compact Connectivity Suite

2× HDMI 2.0 (one with eARC), USB-A power (1.5A), RS232, RJ45 network control, and 3.5mm audio out.
