The 4K400STx is a DLP short-throw projector built around a 240-watt lamp-based light source rated for up to 4,000 hours in Bright mode, 10,000 hours in Eco mode, and 15,000 hours in Dynamic mode — a different maintenance profile than laser-based models in the lineup, and one worth factoring into total cost of ownership over several years of daily sim use.

With a fixed 0.5:1 throw ratio and a published projection distance of 15.75″ to 129.92″, the 4K400STx mounts close behind the hitting area on most residential ceiling heights. Because there is no zoom or lens shift, exact placement matters more than on motorized-lens projectors — run the screen size and room dimensions through the ESG projector fitment tool and throw calculator before finalizing the mount location.

Ceiling mount notes: the 116% native lens offset projects the image above the lens centerline, which suits a behind-player ceiling mount without needing lens shift to correct vertical position. Wide ±40° keystone correction gives extra flexibility if the mount angle is not perfectly perpendicular to the screen.
