FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why does the Pro 2 have 28 buttons when other models have 18–20?
GSPro has a large number of in-round functions — course flyovers, grid overlays, aim tools, club management, map controls, and more. Controllers with 18 or 20 buttons cover the most common actions but require players to reach for a keyboard for less-frequent functions. The Pro 2 was designed to eliminate that compromise entirely. At 28 buttons, it maps a dedicated control to virtually every GSPro function, so nothing requires a keyboard lookup mid-round.
How does Bluetooth pairing work?
The Pro 2 uses standard Bluetooth HID pairing. Power on the controller, put it in pairing mode using the dedicated button, and pair it through your PC's Bluetooth settings the same way you would connect a wireless keyboard or mouse. Once paired, the controller reconnects automatically each time it powers on. No additional software or drivers are needed.
Can it also be used wired?
Yes. Connect the included USB-C cable to plug the Pro 2 directly into your PC for a fully wired connection. Wired mode works independently of Bluetooth and is useful when you want the lowest possible latency or when you need to charge the controller during a long session. Switching between wired and wireless is straightforward — plug in to go wired, unplug to return to Bluetooth.
What's the battery life with LED on vs. off?
With LED backlighting enabled, the 3000 mA battery delivers 60+ hours of use — equivalent to many weeks of regular sim sessions before needing a charge. With LED turned off, battery life extends to 200+ hours. The controller charges via the included USB-C cable. Most players will charge once or twice a month under normal use patterns.
Does it come with a stand?
No — a stand is not included with the Pro 2. It is sold separately. The controller functions as a flat desktop unit out of the box. An optional stand is available for players who prefer a steeper viewing angle, which can improve ergonomics and visibility in certain hitting bay configurations.
How does the faceplate system work?
The Pro 2 features a removable faceplate that snaps on and off without tools. This serves two purposes: it allows players to swap in custom or designer faceplates for a personalized look, and it makes it easy to update button labeling if GSPro changes its keyboard shortcut assignments in a future update. Replacement and custom faceplates may be available separately.
What's the difference between the Pro 2 and the Elite 2?
The primary difference is button count. The Elite 2 has 20 buttons and includes a stand. The Pro 2 has 28 buttons — 8 more — and does not include a stand. Both connect via Bluetooth and USB. If complete function coverage is the priority and you don't need a bundled stand, the Pro 2 is the stronger choice. If you prefer a slightly more compact layout with the stand included, the Elite 2 is a solid option at a similar price point.
What's the difference between the Pro 2 and the Flex 2?
The Flex 2 has 20 buttons, while the Pro 2 has 28. Both offer Bluetooth and USB connectivity and 60+ hour battery life with LED on. The Pro 2 is the better fit for players who want the most complete button coverage possible; the Flex 2 suits players who prefer a more compact controller and are comfortable reaching for a keyboard on less-used functions. Both stands are sold separately.
Does it require any software or drivers?
No. The Pro 2 registers as a standard HID keyboard at the operating system level. Windows and macOS recognize it immediately without any driver installation or background software. GSPro reads its inputs the same way it reads keystrokes from a standard keyboard. There is nothing to configure, update, or manage.
