The CM00G3 is BenQ’s own universal ceiling mount and the optional mount BenQ lists on the spec sheets for its golf simulator projectors, including the AK700ST, LK936ST, and AK900ST. Despite the BenQ name, it is not limited to BenQ projectors. Four adjustable arms, a tilt-and-rotate head, and a steel and aluminum alloy build give a sim bay a secure, square starting point for a projector that has to hang above the hitting area and stay aligned with the screen.
Works With Any Projector Brand, Not Just BenQ
A common misconception is that the CM00G3 only fits BenQ projectors. It is a universal mount: Epson, Optoma, ViewSonic, and other brands fit as long as the projector weighs 55.1 lb (25 kg) or less and its ceiling-mount holes fall within the 11.8″ × 9.8″ arm range.
A Universal Mount For Any Sim Bay.
Universal Fit, Any Brand
The adjustable arms fit Epson, Optoma, ViewSonic, BenQ, and other brands within the weight and hole-pattern limits. BenQ also names the CM00G3 as the optional mount for its AK700ST, LK936ST, and AK900ST golf projectors.
Plenty Of Weight Headroom
The 55.1 lb (25 kg) rating covers BenQ’s golf lineup with room to spare. Even the 22.5 lb AK900ST flagship uses well under half the rated load.
Four Adjustable Arms
The spider-style bracket fits projectors with mounting holes inside an 11.8″ × 9.8″ footprint. Arms line up with the projector’s mounting points, and a projector can use fewer than all four.
Tilt And Rotate To Square The Image
±25° of tilt and 360° of rotation let the projector be angled and leveled to the impact screen before final digital adjustments, which keeps keystone correction to a minimum.
Two Drop Configurations
Run it short at about 5″ from the ceiling, or add the extension for a 15.9–22.7″ drop in 1″ (25 mm) steps. That range helps place the lens at the right height for the screen.
Steel And Aluminum Build
Steel and aluminum alloy construction keeps the mount rigid while the mount itself weighs just 3.88 lb (1.76 kg). BenQ states the mount goes through quality control and testing.
Who Is It Best For?
Golfers ceiling-mounting a short-throw projector from BenQ, Epson, Optoma, or another brand in a home or commercial simulator bay who want a proven universal mount, a flat horizontal ceiling to work from, and a simple way to tilt and rotate the image into alignment.
Plan The Mount Before You Drill.
Drop Length And Lens Height
Ceiling height, screen height, and projector throw all decide where the mount lands. The CM00G3 offers two drop options to help put the lens where the image needs it.
- Short configuration: about 5″ (127.7 mm) from ceiling to bracket
- Extended configuration: 15.9–22.7″ (402.7–577.7 mm)
- Extension adjusts in 1″ (25 mm) increments
- ±25° tilt and 360° rotation for final alignment
Installer Checklist
Confirm these before mounting a projector above a hitting area.
- Confirm throw distance with the ESG projector fitment tool before marking the ceiling
- Mount to a flat, horizontal ceiling only, away from vibration or shock
- Fasten into joists or reinforced framing, not bare drywall
- Check that the projector’s holes fit the 11.8″ × 9.8″ arm range
- Match screw size to the projector: M3, M4, M5, or M6
- Leave clearance for any overhead launch monitor near the tee line
BenQ’s Universal Mount, Applied To Golf.
The CM00G3 is a universal ceiling mount, and the BenQ name is about who makes it, not which projectors it fits. Any brand of projector under 55.1 lb (25 kg) with mounting holes inside the 11.8″ × 9.8″ arm range can hang from it. Within the BenQ lineup, BenQ excludes a small group of models, including the CP220 and the GP-series portables, none of which are golf simulator projectors.
In a simulator, the projector usually hangs behind or above the golfer so the image fills the impact screen without casting a shadow or entering the swing path. The right spot depends on the projector’s throw ratio, screen size, and aspect ratio. For the exact lens-to-screen distance in a specific room, run the numbers in the ESG projector fitment tool and throw calculator first, then choose the short or extended configuration to set lens height.
BenQ specifies installation on a horizontal ceiling only, in a location free from vibration or shock. Drywall alone holds less weight, so a drywall ceiling needs added framing or joist support at the mount location. Sloped or vaulted ceilings need a different solution.
Once the projector is hanging, the tilt and rotation head brings the image square to the screen. The projector’s keystone and geometry tools then handle the last bit of alignment from the ground, which keeps ladder trips to a minimum.

55.1 LB Load Rating
Rated to hold projectors up to 55.1 lb (25 kg), covering every BenQ golf simulator projector with a wide safety margin.
Universal Arm Bracket
Adjustable arms reach mounting holes within an 11.8″ (L) × 9.8″ (W) footprint and line up with the projector’s mounting points.
Adjustable Drop
Short 5″ configuration or a 15.9–22.7″ extended configuration with 1″ (25 mm) adjustment steps.
±25° Tilt
Angle the projector down or up toward the screen to center the image vertically before using digital correction.
360° Rotation
Rotate the projector on the mount to square the image to the screen edges in any room orientation.
Multi-Size Screw Support
Works with M3, M4, M5, and M6 projector screws, so the bracket can be matched to the projector’s threaded mounting points.
