Elite Sim Golf PRO Series 12x9 Golf Simulator Enclosure
Elite Sim Golf PRO Series 12x9 Golf Simulator Enclosure
The Elite Sim Golf PRO Series 12x9 Golf Simulator Enclosure is a premium 12x9 golf simulator enclosure built for golfers who want a cleaner, more complete package without paying extra for critical finishing details. Designed for a premium home golf simulator setup, this true 4:3 golf simulator enclosure delivers a polished hitting bay look, strong ball containment, a seamless screen-to-turf transition, premium impact screen materials, and a built-in 1FT wall stand-off that allows the unit to be installed directly against the wall without needing to leave the typical extra rear clearance normally required for impact screen movement.
Premium features included standard — no add-on upgrades required.
The PRO Series 12x9 is built for golfers who want a more complete golf simulator enclosure from day one. Instead of starting with a stripped-down kit and upgrading piece by piece, you get the features that matter most already included: bungee bottom, EMT Pipe Frame Kit, RipStop Fabric Surround, High Contrast Gray Triple Layer screen material, blackout sheet, heavyweight foam-lined flaps, and a built-in 1FT wall stand-off for direct-to-wall installation.
Built to install directly against the wall
Unlike many enclosures that require you to leave extra space behind the impact screen for movement, the PRO Series 12x9 includes a built-in 1FT wall stand-off for that exact purpose. This allows the enclosure to be installed directly against the wall while still providing the space needed behind the screen for proper performance.

How the PRO Series 12x9 Compares
Many DIY golf simulator enclosure kits start with a base package, then ask you to add key materials and finishing upgrades as you go. The Elite Sim Golf PRO Series 12x9 takes a more complete-package approach by including the features most golfers actually want from the start.
What Makes the PRO Series Better
The PRO Series 12x9 is built for golfers who do not want to piece together a half-finished enclosure kit. It focuses on the materials and details that improve both appearance and function, giving you a cleaner final install and a better overall simulator experience.
- Bungee bottom included standard
- EMT Pipe Frame Kit included standard
- RipStop Fabric Surround for total ball containment
- High Contrast Gray Triple Layer screen material
- Blackout sheet included standard
- Heavyweight foam-lined flaps included standard
- Built-in 1FT wall stand-off for direct-to-wall installation
Why These Features Matter
Premium enclosure performance is about more than just hanging a screen. The right surround material, screen material, flap design, lower screen transition, and built-in rear clearance all contribute to how immersive the bay looks, how well it contains shots, and how refined the final setup feels in your room.
Ideal For
- Home simulator buyers wanting a cleaner, more premium enclosure finish
- Golfers who care about complete ball containment
- Buyers who want premium screen and surround materials included standard
- Customers who do not want to source frame materials separately
- Installations where the enclosure needs to go directly against the wall
Why Buy from Elite Sim Golf
We focus on building golf simulator setups that make sense in the real world, not just on paper. That means better included value, better guidance, and fewer surprises when it is time to install your enclosure.

Golf Simulator Setup & Safety FAQ
How far away should I stand from my impact screen?
For the safety of both the golfer and the screen, we recommend standing a minimum of 10–12 feet away from the screen.
How much space do I need for a golf simulator enclosure?
When planning your golf simulator space, make sure to account for:
- Buffer space – Avoid placing the enclosure directly against walls or ceilings to help prevent bounceback and reduce the chance of damage.
- Enclosure footprint – Always verify the exact enclosure dimensions when planning your layout.
- Safe hitting distance – Golfers should stand approximately 10–12 feet away from the screen.
- Golfer height – Taller golfers require additional ceiling clearance for a full swing.
- Club length – Drivers require more swing space than irons.
- Turf thickness and obstacles – Consider HVAC ducts, soffits, lighting fixtures, and flooring height.
- Room layout – Ensure there is adequate space for walkways, furniture, and access to doors.
Can I iron or steam a golf impact screen?
We do NOT recommend ironing your golf screen, because it is very easy to damage the screen material. Our goal is for your impact screen to last as long as possible.
When it comes to wrinkles and fold marks, the best solution is prevention. Unpack your new screen immediately after receiving it, and if you need to store it temporarily, fold it very loosely.
Mounting the screen with proper tension using zip ties or ball bungees and allowing it to relax for a couple of days will smooth out most wrinkles naturally.
That being said…
We have also had success using a clothing steamer to remove wrinkles and fold lines. Using a clean consumer-grade steamer with distilled water can help accelerate the process while avoiding water marks on the screen.
Can I wash my golf screen material?
For detailed cleaning instructions and best practices, please see our article:
“How to Clean Your Golf Impact Screen.”
Are there safety concerns when using a golf simulator?
We want your indoor golf setup to be fun, help improve your game, and remain safe for everyone.
Always follow these safety guidelines:
- Follow the assembly manual provided with your enclosure.
- Keep children, pets, and spectators outside of swing range.
- Protect ceilings, walls, windows, vehicles, and nearby property.
- Ensure your enclosure and impact screen are properly tensioned.
- Always use equipment as intended for indoor golf simulator use.
What happens if the black enclosure material gets hit by a golf ball?
The enclosure material is not designed to absorb direct golf ball impacts. During normal use, golf balls should strike the impact screen first.
If a ball contacts the screen and then lightly rebounds into the enclosure fabric, it typically will not cause any issues.
Can I get a replacement impact screen for the enclosure?
Yes. Replacement impact screens are available if your current screen becomes worn or damaged.
Contact our customer support team and we can help match the correct screen size and material for your enclosure.
Proper installation and correct tensioning can significantly extend the life of your golf simulator screen.
How long does it take to assemble the enclosure?
Most DIY golf simulator enclosures assemble in about 45–90 minutes, depending on the enclosure size.
Installation is typically faster with two people. Assembly instructions and reference materials are included to guide the process.
What pipes are required to build the enclosure frame?
DIY golf simulator enclosures require 1-inch EMT (Electrical Metal Tubing) to construct the frame.
You have two options:
- Add a Pipe Framing Kit so pipes arrive pre-cut to the exact lengths.
- Purchase EMT conduit from a local hardware or building supply store.
Your enclosure kit will include the exact pipe lengths and quantities required.
What are EMT pipes?
EMT stands for Electrical Metal Tubing, also known as electrical conduit. These metal pipes are used to construct the frame structure of simulator enclosures.
Important: Do not substitute PVC pipe for EMT. PVC lacks the strength required and will not properly fit EMT fittings.
Do I need to use a golf hitting mat?
Golf hitting mats provide a cushioned surface for standing and swinging your golf club. They help protect your joints during impact and allow you to tee the ball at the proper height for realistic practice.
When choosing a hitting mat size, consider the needs of the golfer and the available simulator space.
- 4' × 5' – Allows most golfers to comfortably swing a driver with their heels near the edge of the mat.
- 5' × 7' – Provides additional stance room for wider swings.
- 4' × 9' – Ideal for simulator setups used by both right- and left-handed golfers.
Larger mats are also helpful when multiple players will be using the simulator.
