Purpose-Built For Tight Bays

Swing Big In The Smallest Space.

The AH500ST carries the tightest throw ratio in BenQ’s golf simulator lineup — a fixed 0.499:1 lens that fills a screen from a distance most short-throw projectors can’t touch. That makes it the go-to pick for shallow garage stalls, low ceilings, and enclosures where a standard 0.69–0.83:1 throw simply will not fit. It pairs that geometry with a 4,000-lumen laser engine so brightness never gets sacrificed for the tighter mount.

Why The AH500ST

The Answer For Rooms That Don’t Have Room To Spare.

Ultra-Short 0.499:1 Throw

A fixed lens with no zoom mounts far closer to the screen than typical short-throw projectors, fitting a 100″ image from roughly 3.6 feet away.

4,000-Lumen Laser Engine

Bright enough for garages and bonus rooms with some ambient light, backed by 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast for punchy whites and deep shadows.

Remote-Controlled Setup

Screen Fill and Quick Focus hotkeys handle aspect ratio switching and focus adjustment straight from the remote, no ladder needed.

Floor Or Ceiling Mount

The short-throw design and 112% offset make the AH500ST equally viable floor-mounted or ceiling-mounted, depending on bay layout.

True-To-Life Golf Colors

BenQ’s Golf Mode color tuning is calibrated for turf, sand, and sky tones so course visuals look natural on GSPro, E6, and similar titles.

Maintenance-Free Laser

An IP5X dustproof sealed engine and laser light source mean no lamp changes and no filters to clean over the projector’s life.

Who Is It Best For?

Golfers building in tight bays where the ceiling mount has to sit close to the screen and a standard short-throw projector does not fit — sub-9-foot ceilings, shallow garage stalls, or enclosures under 10 feet deep.

Short Throw & Setup

The Tightest Mount In BenQ’s Golf Lineup.

Ultra-Short-Throw Geometry

Where most golf projectors need 5.7+ feet for a 100″ image, the AH500ST’s fixed lens gets there from about 3.6 feet.

  • 0.499:1 fixed throw ratio, no zoom
  • 112% projection offset reduces the need for tilt or keystone
  • Fills up to a 200″ diagonal screen
  • Well-suited to enclosures under 10 ft deep

Remote-Based Screen Fit

Setup is designed to be handled entirely from the remote, without repeated trips up and down a ladder.

  • Screen Fill auto-switches between 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, and 16:10
  • Quick Focus hotkey for sharp images without manual ring adjustment
  • 2D Keystone (±30° vertical/horizontal) for squaring the image
  • Confirm exact mounting distance before drilling — the fixed lens has no zoom to compensate for a misjudged distance
What Is The AH500ST

Built For Rooms Where Every Inch Counts.

The AH500ST is a 1080P ultra-short-throw laser projector built on the same golf-tuned platform as BenQ’s wider simulator lineup, but with a fixed 0.499:1 lens instead of a zoomable short-throw range. That single design choice makes it the answer for rooms where a standard 0.69–0.83:1 throw projector simply will not clear the ceiling or the back wall.

Because the lens is fixed with no zoom, mounting distance has to be right the first time. Run your screen size and enclosure depth through the ESG projector fitment tool and throw calculator before finalizing the mount — there is no zoom ring to correct for a mismeasured distance later.

Its laser light source is rated for roughly 20,000 hours in Normal mode and up to 38,000 hours in ECO mode, so brightness stays consistent over years of regular sim use without the lumen drop-off that hits lamp-based projectors.

For PC-based simulators running GSPro, E6 Connect, TGC 2019, or Awesome Golf, the AH500ST connects via HDMI and handles the 1080p signal path cleanly, with input lag low enough (16.7 ms at 1080p/120Hz) for responsive shot feedback.
