Use this quick start to mount your VTrack and get VTrackToolkit installed, connected, and calibrated.
Latest Downloads & Manuals (Update links here)
Tip: keep these three links current so customers always have the newest Toolkit + full manuals.
1) Mounting the hardware (ceiling install)
Prep + placement
- Verify your install environment and measurements:
- Tee → screen: at least 3000 mm (118.1 in / 9 ft 10.1 in).
- Floor → bottom of sensor: 2600–3000 mm recommended (102.4–118.1 in / 8 ft 6.4 in – 9 ft 10.1 in).
- Ceiling should be level.
- Gather tools (not included): screwdriver, tape measure, drill, ladder.
Mark the mounting location
- Use the included laser indicator to check ceiling level in both directions.
- Find the center of the hitting area and draw a line perpendicular to the screen.
- Measure forward toward the screen by “L (mm)” (from the manual’s table based on your ceiling height H), then transfer that point up to the ceiling using the included laser level.
Quick convert: L (in) = L (mm) ÷ 25.4 (or mm × 0.03937 = inches).
Install the ceiling bracket
- Pre-mark and mount the bracket using the included screws (7 total), keeping the bracket parallel to the screen and confirming level.
- Recommended best practice: temporarily install the unit and run the calibration/alignment screen before fully tightening so you can fine-tune alignment.
Hang the VTrack sensor
- The sensor ships with 4 screws pre-installed—half-loosen them.
- Hang the unit on the bracket using those screws, press up so the bracket and sensor sit flush, then tighten the 4 screws.
Power + data connection
- Connect power to the power supply adapter, then connect Ethernet from the sensor directly to the PC (CAT6 included).
- Turn on the sensor power switch and confirm indicator lights (red power, green Ethernet activity per the manual).
2) Setting up the software (Toolkit + calibration)
Install / update VTrackToolkit
- If updating: uninstall the existing VTrackToolkit from Windows Apps & features first.
- Download the latest Toolkit release from the vendor notice page, extract the ZIP, then run the installer (MSI).
- Follow the install wizard (install, choose folder if needed, proceed through prompts/UAC).
Verify install
Launch from the new desktop icons:
- LPGolfCalibrationTool (standalone calibration)
- LPGolfCalibrationTool with Sim (calibration + driving range integration)
Network connection (PC ↔ sensor)
- In Toolkit Settings, go to the Device/Network area, select the sensor from the network list, and connect; the current connection should display when successful.
- If connection fails, the manual calls out:
- Check cabling.
- If needed, do manual NIC/network configuration (IP + performance options like Jumbo Packet / receive & transmit buffer settings) and ensure security software/firewall isn’t blocking communication.
Calibration + checks (critical for accuracy)
- Calibration board: Place the board so the “SCREEN” label faces the screen and the board is vertically aligned.
- In Settings → Calibration, align the board within the on-screen guide box and start calibration.
- Run Ball Check and place a ball in each indicated section to confirm detection.
- Set your Area Settings (Ready/Tee zones) and click Apply.
Launch your simulator
- In the Toolkit “Game/Simulator” area, select your simulator (e.g., GSPro), reload if prompted, launch, and adjust putting speed if desired.
